Stephen Valentino recently interviewed Jennifer Lopez at the Macy’s Passport Fashion Show in Los Angeles, CA where she was debuting her new line of clothing, JLO

Singer, dancer, actress, star of stage and screen, Jennifer Lynn Lopez started dreaming about an entertainment career at age five, when she began singing and dancing lessons. A New York City native, Jennifer was influenced by the musical traditions of her Puerto Rican parents, mainly Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata, as well as by mainstream music like Pop, Hip hop and R&B.  After highschool, Lopez worked at a law firm by day and performed as a professional dancer by night.  Her first big break came when she was cast as a fly girl on Fox's hit comedy "In Living Color" (1990), a show choreographed by actress Rosie Perez. After a two-year stint, Lopez became a dancer for famed singer-actress Janet Jackson.  Lopez’s first major film was Gregory Nava's My Family (1995).  But her career finally took off when she played the leading role of the slain Tejana singer Selena Quintanilla Perez in Selena (1997).
